    Ben,
I was snapping pictures of my friend’s Gozzard41 as it was heading south on the East River at the Queensboro Bridge when I remembered Gizmo was also heading south. Sure enough you came into view while the current raced Gizmo by. From the 2nd story Esplanade I got some good pictures as you went under the bridge. I’ll forward them if you like.

  2. Looks nice.. sad to see you fell for that “lightning inhibitor” snake oil, however.

That’s great news, Ronbo. Excited to see your pictures!
We had a great trip through NY Harbor. Lots of Stars and Stripes, lots of folks visiting Miss Liberty.
We went west around Staten Island, which was new territory for both my mate Joe and I. Finest kind of industrial gunk holing!
    Pulling into Atlantic Highlands now.

re :Digital Antenna Bullet. This antenna certainly has a wide bandwidth which is attractive. Too bad they didn’t also include the option of a standard 1-14 base mount.
    Have fun in Baltimore!
    Cheers

Hi Don, I don’t think an N connector can fit through any standard 1-14 base but I suppose Digital could make a bullet with the cable exiting the side. So many trade offs!
The Sassafras River is beautiful and boaty, but last day to Baltimore marred by emergency head repair.

An N connector will fit. I had to adapt a Digital cellular antenna having a standard 1-14 base to mounts I already had in place at the masthead for Metz VHF antennas. The LMR400 cable did exit the out the side of the adapter.
In Colorado through the end of the month. When I return I’ll go up the mast to take a photo, or maybe my wife will go up in my absence. Maybe not…..
