This is Paul from Digital Yacht…..I can confirm that the NMEA0183 and USB outputs will both output (at 38,400 baud) a mixture of Received AIS data, plus all multiplexed NMEA0183 sentences received on the AIS200N2K’s input (4800 baud). Only NMEA0183 sentences with a valid checksum are passed through the multiplexer.
The NMEA2000 output will also output everything that the other two ports output, BUT only if a valid equivalent PGN is supported. Most of the popular PGNs will be supported (including the latest AIS ones) and a complete list will be published before we start to ship product.

Thanks, Paul. I think this device will solve a number of install issues on certain boats. When will it ship? And how about a Class B transponder with the same I/O versatility? 😉

Hi Ben, we are aiming to have stock for the Southampton Boatshow in September. We have a few more weeks of testing but are on target and just kitting components for the first production batch now.
A Class B with an N2K interface would be nice…..but that is another story !
