I'm considering putting This MoFi router on a customers boat but having a hard time getting much input. GOST uses this device as an integral part of some of their high end systems. It basically is a wireless router with built in WiFi client which has a sim card and it fails over to 3 and 4G LTE when marina WiFi is not available. Additionally, it has a WAN port which I intend to connect a V3ip (manually selected) for when the vessel is out of cell tower range and connect this to the onboard PC.

Does anyone out there have this system? I almost bought one last night but I'd really like some feedback before spending the $325.00.

Thanks - Morgan

I've used a couple of MoFi products, and they are pretty nice, but their UI is a mess. If you're going to have your customer use it, and they are not technical, I would be careful.

The folks over at the Mobile Internet Resource Center did a pretty good overview when this came out in 2016. I'd also suggest reading the comments as users have contributed some of their thoughts too:
