How can I prevent corrosion buildup on small fine internal electronic connectors, like USB connectors. Prevention seems like the only approach since cleaning these tiny connections is practically impossible. Has anyone used a spray product effectively, and not gummed up the inside of the device?

Mark, in my experience DeoxIT D series products are the best at this...

... but I also use less expensive contact cleaners from WD-40 and CRC, and often then some variety of dielectric grease.
