Raymarine has recently announced the delivery of their new Quantum 2 CHIRP radar, with either cabled or wireless connectivity to an appropriate Raymarine (Axiom) chartplotter. As owner of a 39' sloop that plans to travel to Nova Scotia next year, I would be very interested in Panbo members' comments on how well this radar works, particularly in maintaining a solid and reliable wireless connection to the chartplotter. I have had many challenges in keeping a solid wireless connection with the Raymarine GX6000 VHF radio to its remote mic so I am somewhat skeptical until I hear from users on the new radar's connectivity. What are your opinions?
