    I think the Mystic is in production. Uniden has it at the top of their marine radio page.
    I looked it up on Amazon and they’re for sale @ $619. They must be made of pure expensium. Also, the shipping weight is 30.8 POUNDS. Hopefully, that’s the weight of a really nice box that provide emergency shelter.

    Might some VHF radios suppress DSC transmission if the MMSI number and GPS information not present?

    My HX does have an MMSI number; I think it has to to make a DSC Alert call. But I’ve never heard of DSC filtering like you suggest.

    A handheld with DSC is just what I have been looking for. Great for the life raft. You are sitting out there bobbing around and a ship goes by, I want to be able to “ring their Bells” on the bridge not just hope that they are monitoring 16!
