Welcome to the Panbo Marine Technology Forums.
Anyone have experience bridging an old Simrad AP20 pilot computer to current generation navigation equipment on a N2K bus, using a simrad AT-10?
I can easily figure out how to wire it, I am wondering before I make the effort, does anyone know if these all play nice together?
Old network: AP20 pilot computer, an AP26 controller, rudder sensor, and a Simrad RC36 racing compass
New network: Zeus T12, Zeus 3, Precision 9, WB20-2 remote autopilot controller, lots of other stuff
Goal: Get the AP20 to use the WB-20 remote control and the Precision 9 Compass.
Thanks
I'm very doubtful that you'll see much integration, Dan, if any. I recall that the AT10 only does a few O183 to 2000 translations, or vice versa. Maybe you'll see the RC36 Heading on the Zeus, or the P9 Heading on the AP20, but doubt rudder angle gets to N2K, and can't see how WB20 remote control is remotely possible, as it wasn't ever done over 0183 (I don't think).
Have you asked Simrad?
Dan, the AT10 manual link I described in 2009 still works!

And note there is also an AT10 HD.
Great link to the old manuals, Thanks!
I have an AT-10HD left over also.
