It’s always interesting to see what big vessels with big budgets can do to ensure plentiful Internet service in all possible locations and situations. Note that a full-on NexusWave install requires a forest of antennas plus racks of modems and servers. But the crew will purportedly get the least cost and/or fastest connectivity — be it Inmarsat’s current best GX, Starlink, coastal LTE cellular, etc. — or some combination of many. With just one tech support to call and one (large) bill to pay 😉

Oh, and NexusWave is also ready for “ultra-high capacity high-speed ViaSat-3 Ka-band service, following expected entry into service in 2025”: https://www.viasat.com/space-innovation/satellite-fleet/viasat-3/
