Hi all,

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on that may be of interest to anyone running NMEA 2000 networks, sailing with Raymarine autopilots, or looking for easier ways to access vessel data across multiple devices.

Nauti-Control N2K Wireless – Overview

The Nauti-Control N2K Wireless unit is a compact gateway designed to bring NMEA 2000 data into the modern world. Rather than relying on USB or wired Ethernet, it broadcasts vessel data over Wi-Fi so it can be used by mobile devices, tablets, watches, and navigation systems.

The box plugs directly into an NMEA 2000 / SeaTalk NG backbone and automatically begins transmitting standardised data for compatible apps and marine software.

Key Features

Wireless NMEA 2000 Data

  • Streams live N2K data over Wi-Fi

  • Compatible with popular navigation suites including Signal K, OpenCPN and various chartplotter-friendly apps

  • Ideal for anyone wanting data on a phone or tablet without running new cabling

Dedicated iWatch & Wear OS App

  • Provides live wind, depth, speed, heading and other sailing metrics directly on a wrist wearable

  • Includes integrated autopilot remote functions for supported Raymarine pilots

  • Designed for quick-glance data when helming, trimming or moving around the deck

Nauti-Control Mobile Apps

  • Android and iOS apps for data display, autopilot control, system setup and firmware updates

  • Supports multiple dashboards for cruising, racing and engine monitoring

  • Clean interface with minimal setup required

Autopilot Control (Raymarine Compatible)

  • Supports ST1000, ST2000, ST6000/7000/8000, EV-1/Evolution pilots (depending on user setup)

  • Provides +1, +10, −1 and −10 degree adjustments

  • Enables tack/gybe commands where supported

Compact, Low-Power Hardware

  • Small footprint suitable for lockers, nav desks or behind helm panels

  • Minimal power draw for sailing boats on battery

  • Over-the-air updates for both firmware and configuration

Use Cases

  • Adding wireless data to an older NMEA 2000 backbone

  • Race crew wanting live wind numbers on a watch

  • Solo sailors needing an easy autopilot remote

  • Integrating with Raspberry Pi / Signal K servers for advanced dashboards

  • Boat owners who want navigation data available on tablets throughout the cabin or cockpit

Compatibility

The unit integrates with:

  • Raymarine SeaTalk NG

  • Standard NMEA 2000 networks

  • Mobile navigation apps
