Raymarine unveils RCU-1 wireless autopilot remote for power and sail

HudsonNH: Raymarine – global leader in high-performance marine electronics for the recreational boating, marine first-responder and law-enforcement markets – announced today the launch of the RCU‑1 Wireless Autopilot Remote. Designed for both power and sail applications, the RCU‑1 gives captains greater freedom and confidence by enabling intuitive, handheld control of Raymarine’s Evolution™ autopilot systems.

Featuring a bright color display and ergonomic design for single-hand operation, the RCU‑1 delivers a new standard in wireless autopilot control. Whether trimming sails, managing fishing gear or simply moving around the deck, boaters can stay in command from virtually anywhere on board.

Key RCU-1 Benefits

  • Point‑and‑Go Navigation: Set a course instantly by pointing the controller.
  • Solo Sailor Mode: An industry‑first safety feature that responds automatically in a man‑overboard scenario by turning the vessel into the wind and slowing to near‑stop if the wearer falls overboard or the Bluetooth® link is lost.
  • 30‑day battery life: Powered by two AA batteries with smart power‑saving modes.
  • 98-foot (30m) wireless range via the WG-1 wireless gateway.
  • Stay connected to vessel data: the RCU-1 shows heading, speed, depth and waypoint data from NMEA 2000 and SeaTalkNG networks.

“Raymarine’s Evolution has long been a benchmark in marine autopilot technology,” said Michelle Hildyard Vice President of Operations at Raymarine. “We’re excited to bring Evolution users a new level of experience with the introduction of our RCU-1 wireless autopilot remote. From enhanced convenience to onboard safety, we’re confident our customers are going to love this controller.”

The RCU-1 and WG-1 Starter Kit includes one remote and one wireless receiver unit, giving boaters everything they need to get started in one package. Additional RCU-1 controllers can be purchased separately to add to an existing system.

The RCU-1 start kit retails for $549.99 and will be available through Raymarine’s network of dealers and retailers in the second quarter of 2026. For more information on the RCU-1 Wireless Autopilot Remote or Raymarine and its full line of marine products, visit www.raymarine.com.
