I really am intending to do some research on universal remotes, the bane of many a yacht (and home). But meanwhile some handy fellow dreamed up this model. I wonder how many other guys got it e-mailed to them today? And how many put it on their Christmas list?

No, it really isn’t funny, not even remotely so. Women are just as interested in marine electronics as men — why do you assume that the sport, the way of life, and your audience are both exclusively male and fairly misogynistic? Do you not think that even men, let alone most if not all of your female readers, would find this sort of juvenile “humor” offensive?
Look, I like I joke as much as the next person, and I really love the work you do here, but please, keep things a bit more balanced.
Don’t like it? Come up with a WOMAN Remote! It’s a JOKE! I’m so sick of political correctness, “let’s not do this, we’ll OFFEND someone!” Humor is subjective, if you don’t like the humor, fine.
Create a balanced joke and make us all happy, okay!
