SI-TEX Introduces New Compact Color Autopilot for 2018

SI-TEX Marine Electronics has added the new SP-110C Color Autopilot to its popular SP-110 compact autopilot family for 2018 — and this new product is an ideal choice for a variety of boats up to about 38 feet.

This new pilot features the same compact and splashproof 4.3” square control head that has made the SP-110 a popular installation on just about any helm, console or dash.   While maintaining the same footprint and form factor of the original SP-110, SI-TEX’s new SP-110C now gives boaters a bright, full-color LCD display that can be easily viewed from a variety of different angles on open or enclosed helm stations.   This new display also provides navigators with a range of useful new graphic presentations, including a Rudder Angle Meter and Compass Steering Display.

The SP-110C comes paired with SI-TEX’s powerful new nine-axis electronic compass for precise course detection and steering control in real-world conditions.   As with the original SP-110, the SP-110C Virtual Rudder Feedback capabilities eliminates the need for a separate rudder feedback unit and junction box— resulting in a simpler, easier to install and more affordable autopilot system.  The SP-110C can be used as a stand-alone system with its 10Hz heading output or connected to a GPS plotting system for easy waypoint steering.   When connected to an NMEA Wind Sensor input, the SP-110C also provides steer-to-wind functionality.  Operation is also simple; only four buttons are required to access all of the pilot’s features and operational steps.

The SP-110C is ideal solution for a range of hydraulically steered boats using either a reversing pump or continuous drive unit.  It can also be used with mechanically steered inboard, outboard or sterndrive vessels when paired with a range of available SI-TEX Remote Mechanical Drive systems.

The SP-110C comes complete with control unit, hydraulic pump, new nine-axis electronic compass and all necessary hardware for flush or bracket mount installation for the affordable starting MSRP of $2,199.
