Garmin announces Panoptix PS70, GPSMAP 16×3 series, and new black color editions in Miami

Good morning! Just a quick note to share this morning’s announcements – the Panoptix PS70, GPSMAP 16×3 series, and an array of new black color editions in various products, all announcing today in conjunction with the Miami International Boat Show. The press releases are attached along with some highlights below.

We’ll have these products (and much more) on display at the show, and we’ll also have our Kraken Force trolling motor in the water for demos at the Venetian Marina boat sea trial area if you haven’t seen it yet!

Panoptix PS70

• The all-new Panoptix PS70 with RapidReturn sonar technology gives deep-sea anglers a real-time view of what’s below the surface at greater depths than ever before.
• The fastest live sonar at 1,000’ on the market today, the PS70 provides a smooth, video-like view that updates a minimum of 10 frames per second – 6 to 8 times faster than the leading competitor at 1,000’ depth.
• With an 800-watt power output, the PS70 gives anglers stronger sonar penetration through the water and delivers four unique sonar modes – LiveVü Down, Traditional Sonar, Triple-Beam, and RealVü 3D Historical – to fit a wide array of fishing techniques.  
• The PS70 is also equipped with an image stabilization sensor that allows it to continuously adjust the sonar beams, so even in rough waters anglers will still see a steady sonar image.
• Thanks to enhanced QuickDraw Contours, angles can survey wide areas at depths of 1,000’ below the surface, making it easy to view and store detailed contour maps in real-time. Users have the option to contribute their data to the QuickDraw Community so it can be integrated into Garmin Navionics+ charts, or just saved to their personal chartplotter.
• The PS70 transducer is available now with a suggested retail price of $4,799.99 or as a bundle that includes a fairing block to allow for deadrise angles of 0 to 20 degrees and mounting hardware for $4,999.99.

GPSMAP 16×3

• The new GPSMAP 16×3 adds a stunning high-resolution full HD 16-inch touchscreen display option to the popular GPSMAP x3 chartplotter and sonar combo series, further expanding our options – now available in 7, 9, 12 or 16-inch displays – to fit an even wider range of dash configurations.  
• To help mariners navigate more confidently, the GPSMAP 16×3 includes built-in Garmin Navionics+ mapping with Auto Guidance technology that includes a one-year subscription with daily updates. 
• Offering nearly double the processing power of the previous generation, the GPSMAP x3 series is fast and responsive and references 10Hz GNSS for accurate positioning, smooth speed and COG data. 
• The sonar combo version (GPSMAP 16×3 xsv) offers built-in support for Ultra High-Definition SideVü and ClearVü scanning sonar, CHIRP traditional sonar, along with the full lineup of Garmin Panoptix sonars, including LiveScope. 
• The new GPSMAP 16×3 series will be available next month in versions with and without sonar, ranging in price from $4799.99 to $4999.99.

Black Editions

• The GMR Fantom open-array radars, MSC satellite compass and Fusion NRX300 Wired Remote will now be available in black (and white) color schemes.  
• These products are part of a growing list of devices that will be offered in both black and white color options. 
• The new black color option will make it easier for boaters, anglers and cruisers to complement the color of their vessel.
